And so it begins
After some stunning reviews of my book, I've finally gotten one written by someone not on the Time Warner pay roll. The result is, well, less than glowing, but sort of a relief, for all that:

I'll be coming up with that tour schedule just as soon as ever I can - promise.

Pfff. Whatever. I liked the book more than the blog. No broken links in the book.
Oh, and no spammers. You should get that word verification thing.
Hey Julie: From a sometime reader and first-time commenter, just wanted to let you know that my review of the book is posted over at BlogCritics as well as on my own blog. And no, I'm not on Time Warner's payroll.
BTW, I thought the story about Christopher Lydon coming across brains soaking in the bathroom sink after your podcast with him was hysterical.
Truly it's really not a bad review. She liked the content and for the most part, your writing style. Her biggest crtique was that you found it difficult to get away from the original blog material, but also noted that that would be a near impossibility anyway; and finishes it off with noting that the book will be of most interest to folks that didn't already read the blog. What better way to increase your fan base?! Congrats on the book and the tour!
Hi Julie,
For another review not written by someone on the payroll at Time Warner, check out the review that appears in the October issue of BookPage. I'm enjoying your new blog!
it would be fun to look back on old blog entries and remember "this is where i was a couple of years ago...and look at where i am now!"
i only hope to follow a similar path. :)
