Er, ooops.
Hey, guys, sorry I've been out of the loop here for such a godawful long time. But hey! I'm back! Happy New Year, Happy Obama Administration, to you all!
It looks like my next book is actually going to come out, albeit not for a while. We're looking at August of 09 now, the release date is all mixed up with the movie release date, so it's a bit uncertain, but that's what I'm thinking. In service of the upcoming, I'm going to make an effort to actually blog fairly regularly; it one of my resolutions, along with: getting totally buff using nothing but Wii Fitness and a weekly half-mile run to the pet store, and not drinking until at least 4 pm. Wish me luck on these quixotic endeavors....

Well, hey! Welcome back. I fully support your endeavor to get fit using Wii fit... because I'm doing the same thing.
Luck! Looking forward to movie, book, more blogs & Obama!
I can't wait to read the next book! And will look forward to more posts here.
Welcome back!! You've been missed!
A new book?! Congrats and welcome back and Yea, Obama!
Not drinking until 4 pm? Most quixotic resolution ever.
Just wanted to say I read your book in 3 days and loved it...looking forward to seeing the movie!
I just got Julie and Julia and have not read it yet. Can't wait.
Hi, Julie -- I'm one chapter away from the end of "Julie and Julia" -- I don't ever want it to end. Finally checking on your blog and glad to see it's still up!
Wonderful book -- you've made me smile many times over the past few weeks (and laugh out loud, too!). And you and your publisher may be pleased to know that I bought three copies for holiday gifts!
Cheers!
I'm excited to read your next book. I'm about halfway done with the first one, and I love your writing. I think you're freaking hilarious.
Thrilled to have discovered your blog.
I'm soooo excited that you're back! I missed reading your posts! I also am completely ecstatic about your new book. It would be rather fitting to have it released around the movie, in my opinion anyway. Jee, I hope that WiiFitness program is going well! I sure do wish I had a Wii. Gawd, the goodies 13-year-olds are deprived of that the grown-ups get these days!
Julie -
Well, I am your newest fan and must admit to you that I have about the same amount of enthusiam as your bleader "Chris" has, so I hope you can tolerate me...
I am SO darn excited to read your next book. I confess that when I stumbled upon Julie and Julia when it first came out I didn't buy it (uh, I'm a mother of three and was working and have about 5 books that I have picked up with all the greatest intentions of reading and, well, haven't.) But then in a little stroll off to Borders this Christmas I found a load of them for $5.00 a piece (heh!) bought it and took it to the in-laws that weekend. Read half of it in one day. When we got home at the end of the weekend I called Borders and asked them to hold four of them for me... I ended up buying six and have excitedly passed them all out to my closest girlfriends with the disclaimer that they have to read "Are you there, God? It's me, Margaret." by Judy Blume. I have deemed "Julie and Julia" the "30-something year old woman's version of 'Are you there, God? It's me. Margaret.' Only involving food, a lot of booze and a romantically invasive eye into the food-mind of Julia Child. Perfect!"
It is hilarious!
Thank you so so so much for the laughs, tears, and (finally) a normal perspective on the insanity of cooking!
Cheers!
