A lot of people bought tickets to a fund-raising event tonight thinking you were going to be there. But you know what, Julie? No one was surprised that you canceled at the last minute, and no one really missed you.

I am so excited to find your blog. I just finished the movie and while I understand it was very sugar coated, I still love the "reel" you and what I hear of the "real" you from your next book. Hi Julie. Goodness did I found you here. I've watched the movie but I didn't really like it that much (was expecting Meryl's performance to be more Oscar-worthy) but I respect what you did (one-year commitment is tough work). Anyway, I was just wondering, and I am really curious, do you get paid for your appearances on TV (Good Morning America, Leonard Lopate Show, Joey Reynolds Show etc,) and for book-reading sessions, interviews and others? Just finished reading your new book. How disappointed I was to have to suffer through that self-indulgent story. You're a drama girl. You love the drama of having an affair, seeing if you have messages, torturing your husband, flirting with anyone that pays any attention to you. After what you put your husband through, why would you ever come home and tell him how beautiful everyone thinks you are (after strolling through NY in your new skirt and bright lipstick). Did you enjoy throwing that in his face? Glad I'm not you. Yuck.

I know you probably won't read this, but I just saw the movie. I had NO idea about all this! About Julia Child, about you. I am eighteen. I guess that works as an excuse, right?
The extent to which I've tried cooking is plain pasta in red/white sauce. I am a terrible cook. But I like to eat. Julia and you inspired me.

I loved your book. and I just saw this online.. realize it was like 2 years ago but omg I wish I woulda known you were in oklahoma lol.. and here in tulsa..the city where I live!! signing books... Gosh I woulda loved to get mine signed!! You are a true inspiration.. you have helped me pull myself up by my "boot straps" several times in more ways than you know!
