.... Okay guys. I'm back in New York (more to follow once I recover from my gross cold sore on my great Texas trip), but first things first. I'm going to be doing a FREE reading at the KGB Bar TOMORROW from 7 to 9, with - wait for it - Amanda Hesser. The universe may implode, but it should be a good time. Here are the stats:

85 East 4th Street
New York, NY 10003
(212) 505 3360
7-9 pm

Hope to see you there!

Hey, Julie, it was great meeting you yesterday at the Texas Book Festival, but I just wish we had had more time to visit. Hope you enjoy the little kitchen utensil.

It was a good crowd at your reading. I met your step-MIL's good friend Margaret while waiting outside for the previous session to end. When we finally went inside, Eric's dad, stepmother, and brother came and sat with us. They pointed out your parents a couple of rows behind us.

Hey, girl. In the realm of cold sores, let me act as your older sister. Abreva. Go buy a tube. It'll cost you like $17.00 at Duane Reade but it will be worth every cent. When you feel the "tingle" rub it on. and keep applying every few hours. I haven't had one in a long time and I used to get them all the freakin time.

No, I do not work for them.

Congrats on all the great reactions to the book!

You were great last night at KGB...what an interesting juxtapose you and Amanda! You have both found uber success in the wide world of food journaling, but in such different ways.

Your hair looks great by the way.

Oh dear I have a cold soar too. Not too nice is it. Damn cold. My grandmother once told me to have salt to get rid of it. I ate a spoon of salt. I threw up. I think she meant wash out your mouth with salt in water.

I just wanted to say I love your blog. I know you have heard it a million times, but you inspired me to start my own. I really needed that kick you gave me to just do it. I loved Julie/Julia, and admire you tremendously. My mother reminds me of Julia Child. You would most probably adore her cooking. It is truly, divine.
If you get a chance have a peek at my blog,

All the best, and really, congratulations on your book, the fact that it became a movie... yay! May your happiness continue!!

Warm wishes,
