So, I won this First Annual Lulu Blooker Prize, for books from blogs? Great honor, inconceivably wonderful, the $2,000 in prize money just lovely icing on the cake? Yes?

Congrats. And totally deserved.
I mainly just love that there's something called Lulu Blooker. And that it's a prize.
Plus, no matter what, you'll always be the inaugural Lulu. And you really can't put a price on that.
You're like the valedictorian of LuLu Blookers. You LuLu you.
Judging is a pretty shibby deal, I mean, you're going to have a real impact on someone's life. I'm very happy for you!
P.S. Write a follow up book about the Post Julie / Julia era. I want to read again about the "pea-ness" and all your other adventures!
Hey Julie- Loved the book, love Buffy,and happen to be a chef who learned just like you- at home, swearing, sweating and enjoying every small victory. Aren't dogs the best? Cooking and dogs and great husbands beat depression every time! Keep up the cooking, and the writing, and I plan on being a new fan. Wish I wasn't so late- but at least I'm here now.
