The Rehearsal Dinner of Movie Premieres

So tonight's the night! Well, a night, anyway. The L.A. "special screening" - Don't call it a premiere!!! - of Julie & Julia: The Movie! I'll not lie. I'm a little nervous. I might have to take a pill. Maybe just half of one. But I've got the cutest little dress and extensions like Ashlee Simpsin and the glitteriest shoes, that actually fit, even though I just got them fedexed to me and tried them on for the first time today, because the sun always shines on TV, and this is me possibly losing grasp of sanity, but probably just being a little over-excited.

Yeah. Maybe half a pill.

i'd say half a pill and bendy straws should do, miss birth of a diva.

Have fun, don't get too sure of yourself (a little nerves keeps it real) or fate will step in. I once walked all over San Francisco with the greatest jacket, snapping pictures and thinking how hip I was. When I got the pictures back I had my jacket buttoned crooked the whole evening! I am still loving the book....

What people love about you, in person and in writing, is your authenticity. You earn that because you are honest with yourself and thoughtful and have learned how to share your insights and feelings with others gracefully. Of all the people I know who are well equipped for being thrust into the bright lights, you are. You are because you are smart, pretty, daring, accomplished and smart. A friend of mine from who wrote for St. Elsewhere once said to me, about an actor after attending a Christmas party for the cast and crew, the most interesting thing about him was the characters he plays on TV. Do you take my point? You're prepared. Enjoy.

I'm sorry to say, but I FUCKING love you. I am married and I am a mother to 4 wonderful kids. I just turned 30 years old in May, I was devastated a couple months before I turned 30 just because I really haven't done much with my life, but then I realized, I have done a lot I'm a domestic Engineer with a criminal justice degree that is hanging on my wall. Really I want to do something for me, something that will make me happy. I am very happy for what you've done for yourself and your husband, I love you and wish you the best Julie Powell. I look up to you.

Hi Julie, I've just watched the movie "Julie & Julia", I watched it without knowing what is it all about, and I like it VERY MUCH.
I'm a 25 year-old chinese girl in Malaysia. I was quite upset and no-directions since few months back and thinking so hard about my future and what to do.
But this movie gave me strength and confidence to face the future. Thanks!!
