The Long National Nightmare is (Almost) Over

Sorry I've been away so long. We've been moving! And Oh. My. God. The new place is just divoone. Seriously, I wake up every morning and want to die for happiness. Of course we are going to go broke, but who cares?

We also don't yet have internet, so I've been ODing on English Breakfast to justify the lengths of time I spend parked at the local tea shop. But, again, caffeine-induced delerium tremens is a small price to pay.....

What's that saying about old democrats having no brains?

Just went to the accountant today and it turns out that rather than being wildly wealthy, I'm dead broke.

There's no punch line here. I'm just depressed, and thought I'd share.

I know, someone should put that construction to bed for good, but I mean JESUS. The schoolkid giggling over a hip-hop song? "Wenches" instead of "Bitches"? Reese? (I mean, I like her, but come on....) And Crash? Fucking CRASH???!!!! Never was a whiter movie made in all of creation.

Sorry. I know I'm not an expert commentator on the pop culture landscape, but for fuck's sake.... Poor Jon. I fear he shall never recover.

On the upside, my boy David looked good. Excruciatingly uncomfortable, but good.

Oh. My. God. SUCH big news. I'm dying here. We have a NEW APARTMENT!!!!

AAAAAHHHH!!!!!

It's like three blocks away from our old apartment, and the rent is absolutely staggering. But it's gorgeous, and sunny, and clean, with windows that work and a great kitchen and high ceilings and plumbing that works (presumably) and a patio out back we can grill on and and and....

We'll just not thing about the rent.

Magazine photographers, take note - you will no longer be able to exploit the picturesquely sordid confines of this hideous shit hole of a "loft" apartment for your bread and butter. Now you'll have to make me look sordid in my brand spanking new Loft Apartment! No quotes!!!!
